Moose
Moose, our rescued Newfoundland, is the heart of Moose Gardens Farmstead. Now nearly 12, his gentle spirit and steady presence inspire everything we do. Named in his honor, our farmstead is a tribute to his calm, loving nature and the joy he brings to our lives.
The Chickens
Our happy hens roam freely around the farmstead, soaking up sunshine and scratching in the soil. In return, they give us fresh, golden-yolked eggs that we gather daily. Swing by and learn more about our flock and the care that goes into every egg!
Luna
Luna is our 11-year-old rescue—a spirited mixed breed who loves to be involved in everything we do. Whether we’re planting, building, or just enjoying the day, she’s always ready to lend a paw and be part of the work.
Kune Kune Pigs
Hodor and Cornbread, our Kune Kune pigs, are key players in our farmstead’s sustainability. These guys happily turn our kitchen scraps and garden waste into rich compost, helping us reduce waste and nourish the soil. We move them around to rotation graze to till up our soil and restore the soil’s nutrients.
Pygmy/Nigerian Dwarf Goats
Corn, Beans, and Squash—our trio of pygmy/Nigerian dwarf goats—are small but mighty helpers at Moose Gardens Farmstead. These clever girls assist with brush control, turning overgrowth into fertilizer while keeping the land tidy. These girls also rotationally graze in pockets of our property to get rid of invasive plant species like honeysuckle.
Barn Cats
Our barn cats are the quiet helpers of Moose Gardens Farmstead. With watchful eyes and quick paws, they keep the barns and garden sheds free of mice and other pests. Independent yet affectionate, they earn their keep while adding a touch of mischief and charm to our daily routines.
Ducks
Our wild ducks add natural beauty to Moose Gardens Farmstead. Waddling through the fields and paddling in the pond, they help control insects and contribute to a healthy, balanced ecosystem—all while adding their own splash of personality to the farm.
